Finally some blogging time

What was the last blog about? More frequent blogging..? LOL

Now that Christmas is approaching quickly, there's loads of stuff to do and no free time. I've finished the project I was working on, but now I've started a new one which I'm supposed to finish in TWO weeks. So the days fly by. I'm also doing a draping* course on Saturdays, to get more spontaneous and creative. And it turns out I really like it! It's a whole new way of recording ideas.

*Draping: placing a fabric on a mannequin and arranging it into a garment, with folds and layers etc.

I'm really excited about this new project, because it actually has something to do with garments and design. I've cut a tailored jacket in two, and unpicked one half of it, to see the way it's put together. Now I have to record this process in my sketchbook. I'm hoping to do a lot of work this weekend, but I seem to be ending up on facebook or on here for some reason. (:p)
